Letter: Shouldn’t all lives matter?

Three police officers shot. So, where’s the outrage, the demonstrations concerning the loss of life for two officers in New York and a third in Florida? The tragedy doesn’t even make the front page. These three officers were murdered, taking away a loved family member. No, violent actions are not warranted nor justified, as they never are, but still the community as a whole seems to accept this event.

Worldwide marches for two men killed recently went on for weeks, but there’s nothing for these three. It’s sad how we take the loss of a police officer in stride but react so much differently for civilians. Is their loss of life not the same?
