Two games, two wins for the Battle Ground girls basketball team at the Hoops on the Holiday tournament at Evergreen High School.

After starting the season with five losses in a row, the Tigers will surely take it.

Jossilyn Blackman had 21 points and 17 rebounds, leading Battle Ground to a 59-31 win over De La Salle of Portland in the final of four games Saturday.

The tournament will resume Monday with four more games: Evergreen will take on De La Salle at noon. La Center will play Jefferson, Battle Ground will face Woodland, and Camas will go up against Benson.

In Saturday’s finale, the Tigers scored the first 14 points and were never threatened.

Morgan Stradley came off the bench and added 10 points for the Tigers. Emily Griffith had eight points and four steals.

De La Salle trailed by 23 early in the second half but went on a mini run to make it an 11-point game late in the third quarter.

Then it was all Battle Ground again.
