The Chieftains did not have any trouble in the semifinals of the Vince Dulchich Tournament in Astoria, Ore., winning their fifth consecutive game.

Megan Bloom led a balanced attack with nine points.

Holli Jo Chose led River with eight rebounds — playing just a half of the game. Katie Kolbe had six rebounds.

Columbia River forced 30 turnovers.

Coach Carl Click said the team did not press, and he played every athlete in uniform, getting minutes to the less-experienced players.
