• Boomerang, a new nonprofit in downtown Vancouver, sells donated and consigned items to support local causes. Volunteers are sought to assist customers, organize and price items, decorate, swing a hammer, and to help at the coffee bar.
• Humane Society for Southwest Washington seeks volunteers to sort, inspect and price donated clothing, or to greet donors, unload donations from vehicles, fill out donation receipts, and keep the donation trailer orderly. Both assignments require standing for long periods.
• Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is looking for pen pals to exchange monthly letters with a local student, helping the child develop writing and communication skills while building a friendship.
• Vancouver Symphony Orchestra is looking for volunteer receptionists to answer phones, process ticket purchases and help with general office tasks.
