Family-Friendly Wormshop: Learn how to turn organic yard and kitchen waste into a rich garden amendment. Participants will build a worm bin to take home. Registration is open. A Rind is a Terrible Thing to Waste: Noon to 1:30 p.m. May 22 at Library Hall, Vancouver Community Library, 1007 E. Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver. Learn the basics of backyard composting in a free workshop that includes an overview of various composting bins and systems. Free.
