Camas and Evergreen school districts are among 16 in the state chosen to take part in a Centers for Disease Control project to improve sexual health education. The districts were selected by the state's Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction.
The CDC will fund programs at state and school district levels. Washington is one of 19 states chosen to participate.
The project provides school districts with technical support and training, professional development and funding to strengthen high-quality instruction based on science. They will receive $500 each for the first year of the program and up to $10,000 in years two through five.
