Letter: Refer back to Genesis

The Columbian
Published: February 12, 2014, 4:00pm

Steve Engard’s Feb. 7 letter, “Where’s evidence that God exists?” in rebuttal to Lena T. Jones’ Feb. 4 letter, “Evolution is just a hunch,” continues the ongoing question of evolution versus creationism. First of all, Engard wants evidence that God exists. Can he prove God does not exist?

However, if either of these letter writers would read verses 4-5 of Chapter 1 in Genesis, they both might have to pause and think about their positions. According to those verses, they would find that measured time did not start until that day. So were the first three days 24-hour days or not?
