A 54-year-old woman was injured Friday night in a side-impact collision near a Northeast Hazel Dell shopping center.

The crash was reported around 8:15 p.m. south of Northeast 94th Street and Northeast Hazel Dell Avenue, near the Hazel Dell Towne Center. A woman was pulling out of the complex in her car, and attempted to make a left turn in a right-turn only lane, said Clark County sheriff’s Sgt. Chad Rothenberger. Her car was broadsided by a northbound pickup truck.

Firefighters had to extricate the woman, said Fire District 6 Battalion Chief Todd Iremonger. She was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, along with an 11-year-old girl who was also in the car. The girl did not need to be extricated and seemed to be in fair condition, Iremonger said.

The people in the pickup were not injured, Iremonger said.
