The FBI is offering up to $10,000 for information leading to a wanted man who reportedly traveled to Washington at the beginning of the month.

Kevin Anthony Briggs is wanted on suspicion of aggravated assault, attempted sexual intercourse without consent, assault on a peace officer and escape. He reportedly purchased a one-way ticket to Spokane after fleeing from police in Montana.

On the morning of Feb. 1, he allegedly attacked a woman in Bozeman, Mont. and later escaped police custody. That evening, Briggs went to Missoula, Mont. and bought a one-way ticket to Spokane, investigators say. They believe he may travel through the state to Oregon, California or Mexico.

Briggs is described as 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-7 with brown hair and hazel eyes. He has a sunburst tattoo on his chest, a tattoo on his armpit and a tattoo on his lower lips, as well as piercings on his bellybutton, ears and bottom lip. Investigators say he may try to alter his appearance, and he may be living in homeless shelters while earning money to travel.

Those with information about his whereabouts are asked to contact their local FBI office or the nearest American Embassy or consulate. The phone number for Vancouver’s FBI office is 360-695-5661.
