Students enrolled in the Clark County Skills Center Information Technology program will collect electronic waste this weekend at the school’s Firstenburg Technology Center, 12200 N.E. 28th St.

The center will receive donations 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Old or broken computers and electronics will be accepted but not televisions and appliances.

All three IT classes at the school are involved in this free, public event to keep harmful electronics out of landfills and to gain experience in troubleshooting and working on computers.

For more information, call Mark Osborne or Ray Nelson, 360-604-1050. IT Technology Systems, Services and Support is one of 15 career programs serving Clark County high school juniors and seniors at the Skills Center. Visit www.ccskillscenter.com to learn more.
