Letter: More risk than benefit for workers

I’m writing in regard to the Feb. 4 article, “Health care law will mean fewer people in the workforce.” The first half of this article mainly talks about the problem that about 2.3 million full-time workers by 2021 will quit and instead will work part-time because they would then qualify for free or assisted health care plans, which would hurt the nation.

I believe Obamacare will have to change somehow because if the majority of the lower class switch to part-time just to qualify for free or assisted health plans, then how will enough taxes be paid so that there will be enough money to fund our fundamentals, such as public education. Taxes are what keep our country running and modern. If we decrease it, then our country will be in more risk of increased poverty.

There are many short-term positive effects but overall, in the long term, Obamacare will just throw America down an empty, dry well. I agree that Obamacare is a total disaster for our country because few positive outcomes can be a result from this plan.
