Fire crews respond to report of fire at cell phone store

East Fourth Plain Blvd. at Fort Vancouver Way closed during incident

Emergency crews shut down East Fourth Plain Boulevard at Fort Vancouver Way Sunday night to investigate a reported fire in a cell phone store.

Firefighters were called at 10:15 p.m. to the incident at 2111 E. Fourth Plain Blvd. When they arrived, they saw smoke but no flames, according to emergency radio traffic monitored by The Columbian. They were still searching for the source of the smoke at press time Sunday, but the fire appeared contained.

While responding to the incident, firefighters closed both directions of Fourth Plain.
