Letter: Light rail brings problems

The Columbian
Published: February 24, 2014, 4:00pm

Oregon is pushing for a new Interstate 5 Bridge, and I’m not against that, but I am against light rail. If you don’t think it will kill downtown, think again. Everywhere light rail is, there’s a problem. What is wrong with buses? They do a great job, and if a route line doesn’t do well, it can be easily moved.

I realize Vancouver city officials want the money for infrastructure, but if they knew how to run a government (business), they wouldn’t need all the feds’ money. Oregon does need it because it is run by a bunch of incompetent officials — just look at Cover Oregon, etc.
