PULLMAN — An autopsy shows that a seizure was ultimately to blame for the death of a Washington State University professor.
Scott Stratton was found dead in a pond at Sunnyside Park in Pullman last week.
The Moscow-Pullman Daily News says Stratton had a history of seizures.
Whitman County Coroner Pete Martin says Stratton had been off his medication for about 10 days at the time of his death, because the medication was causing a rash.
Martin says the cause of death was drowning in just 2 feet of water, because Stratton fell into the pond rather than on solid ground when he had a seizure.
