• YWCA Clark County will offer training for Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteers on Jan. 6. CASA volunteers act as advocates for abused and neglected children. There are more than 600 children in foster care in Clark County, and more 245 of these children do not have a CASA to advocate on their behalf. CASA volunteers are trained to work within the child welfare and family court systems and are appointed by a commissioner to supervise individual cases.

To register for the training, visit ywcaclarkcounty.com/volunteer/casa, or contact Stephanie Barr at 360-906-9112 or sbarr@ywcaclarkcounty.org.
