PORTLAND — An Oregon judge has finalized the divorce of the father and stepmother of a Portland boy missing since 2010.

Multnomah County Circuit Judge Henry Kantor signed off on the divorce of Kaine Horman and Terri Moulton Horman on Tuesday, just days before the two were set to go to trial.

Kaine Horman filed for divorce shortly after his 7-year-old son Kyron was last seen at Skyline Elementary School in rural northwest Portland.

The Oregonian reports that Terri Horman’s lawyer Stephen Houze says the two have settled financial issues. They still need to work out legal custody issues and parenting time for their daughter Kiara, who is now 5.

Kyron Horman vanished from his school on June 4, 2010, after Terri Horman brought him there early that day to attend a science fair. The boy never made it to his regular class but wasn’t reported missing until later that afternoon when he didn’t return home by school bus.

A massive search operation turned up no signs of the boy. A criminal investigation continues with no arrests made.
