Boys basketball: Kentridge 40, Columbia River 36

Columbia River played well for the entirety of their semifinal match-up of the Lake City Winter Tournament but lost a six-point lead with 3:30 left in the game.

The Cheiftains had an opportunity to put the game out of reach against an undefeated 4A team but missed the front-end of a one-and-one twice and both times Kentridge answered with three-pointers.

The Chieftains will play the loser of Lake City and South Kitsap tomorrow in the tournament’s third place game.
