BELLEVUE — A large semi-truck accident overnight on Interstate 405 through Bellevue snarled the morning commute and injured two people.

KOMO-TV reports the crash sent fuel and dozens of packages across a highway exit. The truck, two-trailers and other damaged vehicles have been removed after several hours of investigating on Friday morning by the State Patrol.

The driver and one other person were taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The State Patrol found no evidence of drug or alcohol involvement in the crash.

It appears that the driver lost control of the truck while trying to pass another vehicle, slammed into a guardrail, lost one of its trailers and came to a rest in the middle of an off-ramp.

Three other vehicles following the semi crashed into each other.
