Wind advisory in effect for east Clark County tonight, tomorrow

Gusts of 45 mph could cause power outages in Camas, Washougal

Camas and Washougal remain under a wind advisory Sunday night and Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather service predicts eastern winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 45 to 50 mph that will impact the Columbia River Gorge and Cascade foothills. The winds will pick up after 6 p.m. Sunday and decrease Monday afternoon.

The strong winds could cause power outages and property damage. According to the weather service, tall vehicles should take precautions while the wind advisory is in effect.

The strong winds also are expected to impact the Oregon regions of northeast Portland, Gresham and Troutdale.
