Papermakers bring home three medals

Pacific Coast Championships were held in Vancouver

Bryant Elliot, Tye Lommasson, and Talon Edmiston earned medals from the Pacific Coast Wrestling Championships Friday and Saturday at Hudson’s Bay High School.

Elliot defeated Steven Martinez of Toppenish 5-3 for fifth place at 132 pounds. Elliot also won two other matches on Saturday after advancing to the quarterfinal round on Friday.

Lommasson advanced to the semifinal round at 138 pounds, where he lost to eventual-champion Kenji Yamashita of Mountain View. Lommasson settled for sixth place in the bracket.

Edmiston beat Caleb Naughton of The Dalles, Ore. 7-3 for seventh place at 195 pounds. Edmiston won three matches to get to the medal round.
