BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. (AP) — Shaun White will be in for a busy day with the slopestyle final at the U.S. Grand Prix being pushed back because of heavy snow and low visibility.

White will compete in the slopestyle competition Saturday morning and then the halfpipe final later that afternoon. He’s trying to make the Olympic team in both disciplines.

The two-time defending Olympic champion is working on a new trick in the halfpipe before the Sochi Games. It’s a frontside double-cork 1440, which resembles his Double McTwist 1260 but adds another half revolution of twist inside the two head-over-heels flips.

He recently showed the trick on a video posted to a sponsor’s YouTube site.

White remains uncertain about competing at the Winter X Games in two weeks.
