Girls basketball: Washougal 58, Ridgefield 43

RaeAnn Allen had 19 points and Alyssa Blankenship 15 as the Panthers beat the visiting Spudders.

Allen also had 11 rebounds and three assists, while Blankenship had four steals and five rebounds in the Class 2A Greater St. Helens League game.

Washougal’s press was effective in the second quarter, when the Panthers outscored the Spudders 15-5 to lead by 12 at halftime. Megan Sharp, who had 12 steals on the night, spearheaded that push.

Shannon Boyle scored 21 points for Ridgefield.
