MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — J.J. Barea wishes Timberwolves teammate Kevin Love wouldn’t have publicly criticized him for sulking in the game against Phoenix on Wednesday night. But Barea also says he agrees with Love that he shouldn’t have acted that way and promises it won’t happen again.

Minnesota held a shootaround Friday. It was the first time the players met with the media since Love lashed out at two teammates for poor body language in the fourth quarter of a loss to the Suns. The players were later identified as Barea and Dante Cunningham.

Barea says he was upset in the heat of the moment, but needs to handle himself better. Cunningham declined comment.

The Timberwolves play the Charlotte Bobcats on Friday night.
