VALPARAISO, Ind. (AP) — Miles Dixon scored 12 points and Wright State withstood a second half rally from Valparaiso for a 62-45 win Friday night.

Wright State (10-8, 2-1 Horizon League) earned its first road win of the season, jumping to a 37-22 halftime lead and finishing the game on a 23-7 run after Valparaiso threatened to take the lead with a hot start to the second half.

Valparaiso (9-9, 1-2) opened the second half with a 16-2 run, coming within 39-38 on a basket from Vashil Fernandez with 11:11 left in the half. But the Crusaders managed just one more field goal the rest of the game as Wright State pulled away.

Reggie Arceneaux scored 10 for Wright State, to go along with eight rebounds and six assists. Jerran Young, Cole Darling and AJ Pacher each had nine points.

Jordan Coleman was the only Valparaiso player to reach double figures, scoring 10 points.
