Letter: Stand up to lousy D.C. leadership

I had to chuckle to myself when I read the Jan. 5 editorial, “Boehner finds his footing,” about House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, standing up to the Tea Party and how strong he is to do this for the Republicans. This is not a place to go for advice to run the Republican Party, namely a left-leaning newspaper. That will make sure that we elect more people like Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., and President Barack Obama to office and this country cannot afford any more of that.

As a Tea Party member, we need more people like Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, who are not afraid to stand up to the Democrat and Republican machines that currently invaded Washington, D.C. We need to dump the so-called “leadership” that Boehner provides.

I fear that the Washington, D.C., insiders are more concerned with lining their own pockets than doing what is right for the country. I fear we are heading down a path we can’t recover from and current voters can’t tell the difference between a Democrat and Republican.

It is time to listen to the “Mark Levin Show” and other so-called “right-wing” talk shows and dump the establishment “little r” Republicans and make some real change in this country, and not the change that our leaderless president is trying to implement either.

Let Obama go make his millions on the speaker tours, blaming his failures on others when the real lack of leadership starts with him.
