Seattle storms past Texas-Pan American 64-46

EDINBURG, Texas (AP) — Deshaun Sunderhaus scored 22 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead Seattle over Texas-Pan American 64-46 on Saturday.

Seattle (9-7, 1-2 Western Athletic Conference) scored the first 11 points of the game and never looked back. UTPA didn’t score for the first 5:21, until an Alex Majewski 3-pointer made it 11-3. Seattle led at half 30-17 and continued the rout in the second half.

Texas-Pan American (4-14, 0-3) shot just 30 percent from the floor, including a woeful 3 of 19 from beyond the arc. The Broncs were led in scoring by Javorn Farrell with 14 points.

Seattle dominated every facet of the game and led by as much as 26. The Redhawks held a 37-22 rebound advantage and outscored UTPA 26-16 in the paint.

Isiah Umipig added 16 points for Seattle, despite shooting just 3 of 13. He made 9 of 12 free throws and had seven assists.
