Stack, Sager lead CrossFit Invitational

Austin Stack and Cole Sager lead the men’s competition midway through the CrossFit Fort Vancouver Invitational at the Clark County Event Center.

Stack, from Medford, Ore., and his partner Sager scored 290 of a possible 300 points in the first three events of the competition on Saturday.

They hold a 30-point lead heading into three more events on Sunday at the exercise competition. Adam Neiffer and Jerome Perryman, representing host CrossFit Fort Vancouver, are in fifth place.

The women’s competition is led by Rory Zambard of Bellevue and partner Jenn Jones of Houston. They won all three events on Saturday for 300 points. CrossFit Fort Vancouver’s team of Jessica Core and Erin Taylor is second with 265 points.

The competition resumes at 9 a.m. on Sunday, and the final event of the day is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. The show is sold out.
