BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — LSU leading rusher Jeremy Hill says he’s decided to enter the NFL draft.

In an announcement made Monday on a social media website, Hill says he’s grateful to LSU fans, friends, coaches and family and his decision was “very difficult.”

Hill has played two seasons at LSU and was the Tigers’ leading rusher each season. He rushed for 1,401 yards and 16 touchdowns this season.

The Baton Rouge native’s college career was delayed one season by criminal charges resulting from his relationship with a girl at his high school. Last spring, he was involved in a scuffle outside a bar, resulting in more charges. He remains on probation.

Hill’s departure comes after Louisiana high school star running back Leonard Fournette announced he’d attend to LSU.
