Vulnerable adults conference is Feb. 13

The Friends of the Elder Justice Center will hold Clark County’s fourth annual vulnerable adults conference from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 13.

The conference will be held at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, 400 N.E. Mother Joseph Place, in Vancouver.

Admission is free, but registration is required.

Topics include resources for vulnerable adults, identifying and preventing abuse of vulnerable adults, doing a financial forensic review, dealing with depression and loss, preparing a vulnerable adult protection order, GLBT issues, handling dementia and mental health, and identifying and preventing financial exploitation.

The conference is geared toward law enforcement, social workers, attorneys, caregivers, educators, guardians and health care professionals, but anyone is welcome.
