PRAGUE (AP) — The Czech Republic has announced a team of 85 athletes to compete at the Sochi Winter Games in three weeks.

There are high hopes on biathlon World Cup overall leader Gabriela Soukalova, snowboarders Eva Samkova and Ester Ledecka, and Martina Sablikova, who won two gold medals in speedskating at the 2010 Vancouver Games.

The Czechs won six medals in Vancouver.

The Czechs also hope the 25-man ice hockey team led by NHL great Jaromir Jagr will also bring home a medal. It will be the fifth Olympics for the 41-year-old Jagr, who was on the Czech team that won gold at the 1998 Olympics in Nagano, the first games featuring NHL players.
