Girls basketball: Woodland 50, Ilwaco 16

Madison Sorenson had 15 points, six steals and three blocks as Woodland shut down Ilwaco in the first half.

The Beavers broke out to a 14-0 lead after the first quarter and led 29-5 at halftime.

“We did a great job of shutting them down in the first quarter, and then things carried over into the second,” Woodland coach Glen Flanagan said.

Sidra Malik added 10 points, four assists and three steals for the Beavers. and McKenna Mulder had eight points, five rebounds, three assists and three blocked shots.
