The Board of Clark County Commissioners on Thursday reappointed Ron Barca and John D. Blom to the county planning commission, a volunteer advisory group that makes recommendations to county commissioners regarding zoning and development in unincorporated areas.

Barca, a Heisson resident, has served on the seven-member commission since 2000 and currently serves as chairman. He’s a tree farm owner and Portland-based employee of Boeing Commercial Aircraft, where he specializes in lean manufacturing. His new term will continue through 2017.

Blom, a real estate broker who was appointed last year to fill a vacancy, lives in the Burnt Bridge Creek neighborhood.

His new term will expire in 2019.

The planning commission also makes recommendations to county commissioners regarding roads, public facilities planning, development regulations and county ordinances.
