VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) — Karim Rowson scored 21 points and hauled in nine rebounds as South Dakota cruised past Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne in a 75-61 win on Saturday.

South Dakota (8-9, 3-0) overcame the Mastodons with two big drives, closing out the first half by scoring 17 of the last 25 points to carry a 33-23 advantage into the break, then broke open the game in the second half with a 17-4 run that made it 50-29 with 14 minutes to play.

Brandon Bos contributed 13 points and Adam Thoseby added 11 for South Dakota, which hit 28 of 63 from the field to win its fifth straight game.

IPFW (15-6, 3-1) led midway through the first half but couldn’t stop South Dakota’s offense.
