NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell told the NFL Network that the Competition Committee might eventually get rid of extra points in favor of a revised scoring system.

He was especially intrigued by one suggestion:

“It’s automatic that you get seven points when you score a touchdown, but you could potentially go for an eighth point, either by running or passing the ball, so if you fail, you go back to six,” the commissioner told NFL Network.

The Jamaican bobsled team has been given the go-ahead to compete at the Sochi Olympics.

However, they need $80,000 to make that happen.

The ever-popular yellow, green and black sled was given a push from a crowfunding site that brought in $25,000 in less than two days.

As of Monday afternoon the funding total was up to $49,348, according to ESPN.com’s Darren Rovell. He added that only about 20 percent of the contributions are Jamaica-based.
