Nominees for high school winter sports athlete of the week, sponsored by Athletes Corner, for the week ending Jan. 18. Voting will conclude at 8 p.m. Thursday with results published in Friday’s Columbian.

LEXI BOTTOMLEY, PRAIRIE GYMNASTICS: Bottomley posted high scores on the vault, bars and beam to capture the all-around title with a score of 35.85 at the Winterfest Invitational.

JAMIE FORD, BATTLE GROUND BOYS BASKETBALL: Ford averaged 20 points a game in two league wins for the Tigers, including a 25-point, six-steal effort in a win over Evergreen.

BEN GRUBB, COLUMBIA RIVER SWIMMING: Grubb set a meet record of 55.62 seconds and made the 3A state qualifying mark in the 100 backstroke at the Kelso Invitational.

SIERRA JONER, BATTLE GROUND GIRLS WRESTLING: The freshman was named the outstanding wrestler of the girls bracket at the Clark County Championships with a win at 112 pounds.

AUSTIN WRIGHT, EVERGREEN BOYS WRESTLING: Wright was named outstanding wrestler in the upper weight classes after beating Tyler Dady for the 285-pound title at the Clark County Championships.
