A three-point explosion in the third quarter helped propel Prairie to a road win on Friday night.

Five of Prairie’s six three-pointers came in the third quarter as foul trouble forced Prairie to go to a guard-heavy line-up.

Michael Stockbridge hit two of those threes in the decisive third quarter including one at the buzzer to maintain momentum. But, it was James Phillips who led Prairie scoring 22 points–including 11 in the fourth quarter–as well as eight rebounds and three blocks.

Kelso cut the lead down to five in the fourth quarter after Quinton McDaniel–who finished with 21 points–hit consecutive three-pointers.

However, Prairie was able to ice the game at the foul line and didn’t allow Kelso any closer to move into second place in the 3A Greater St. Helens League.
