Four quarters wasn’t enough to settle the score between Battle Ground and Union on Friday night in Battle Ground.

As the overtime period came to a close, Battle Ground was down by one. Alena Jarvis missed a three-pointer to give them the lead on the final possession but she did what all coaches ask of their players and followed her shot.

Jarvis chased down her miss, got the rebound and passed it out to Madison Barr who hit the game-winner with two seconds left to give Battle Ground the win.

Union relied heavily on the three-point line, with 10 of their 15 field goals coming beyond the arc. The long ball helped get them back in the game to force overtime after trailing by double-digits early.

Jossilyn Blackman led Battle Ground with eight rebounds to go with 10 points and Annie Williams led Union with 15 points on the night.
