INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Olympic gold medalist Kyla Ross will skip the American Cup in March in Greensboro, N.C., because of a back injury.

Ross, a member of the 2012 U.S. Olympic women’s gymnastics team that won gold in London, will be replaced by Elizabeth Price.

Price served as an alternate in London two years ago and won a World Cup event in Germany last month. The 17-year-old struggled with injuries after London but bounced back to win the World Cup event in Stuttgart for the second straight year.

The field for the invitation-only American Cup, which will be held on March 1, includes reigning world all-around champion Simone Biles, NCAA champion Sam Mikulak and 2012 Olympian John Orozco.
