Robert Morris edges Wagner 74-70

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (AP) — Karvel Anderson scored 21 points as Robert Morris edged Wagner for a 74-70 win on Saturday.

Robert Morris (11-10, 6-0 Northeast Conference) was trailing by 5 with 11 minutes remaining but went on a 15-4 run to take a 63-57 lead with 6:58 left.

Wagner cut its deficit to 71-70 on a 3-pointer by Marcus Burton with 15 seconds left. But after a pair of made free throws by Kavon Stewart gave Robert Morris a three-point advantage, Kenneth Ortiz missed a 3 for Wagner (9-10, 3-3) and Aaron Tate grabbed the rebound and hit a free throw to help Robert Morris seal the victory.

Anthony Myers-Pate added 12 points for Robert Morris, which hit 10 of 17 from beyond the arc and improved to 6-0 in the NEC for the first time in program history.

Latif Rivers had 19 points for Wagner, which made just 11 of 19 free throws.
