Girls basketball: Columbia River 46, Hudson’s Bay 29

The visiting Chieftains forced 36 turnovers by the Eagles to key their Class 3A Greater St. Helens League win.

Columbia River (10-7, 6-1) gradually extended its lead throughout the game, and had a secure lead by early in the fourth quarter.

Teaghan Cowles had 11 points and four steals for the Chieftains, who had nine players contribute points. Kate Kraft had a team-high six steals and Marion Lilly had five steals.

Megan Bloom grabbed eight rebounds and Morgan Anthony had seven boards for River.

Charlie Torres scored 11 points for Hudson’s Bay (3-12, 2-5).
