Hockinson seventh-grader competes in National Junior High Finals Rodeo

Hockinson — A Hockinson middle-schooler rode and roped at the recent National Junior High Finals Rodeo in Des Moines, Iowa. Seventh-grader Jake Raley placed 72nd overall in ribbon roping and 41st in team roping during the June 22-28 competition. Billing itself as the world’s largest junior high rodeo, the competition draws nearly 1,000 contestants from 42 U.S. states, Canada and Australia.
