The family of a Vancouver woman whose body was found at Beacon Rock State Park this year is inviting the public to her memorial.

The celebration of life for Daphne Alexander-Christ will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Church of God, 3300 N.E. 78th St. in Vancouver.

Alexander-Christ was last seen when she left her home around noon March 7. When she didn’t answer her phone the next day, a missing-person report was filed.

The following Sunday, her black Suzuki Forenza was found in the parking lot at the state park with a ticket on it for being left overnight. Volunteers and authorities from Skamania and Clark counties searched the area for two days but were not able to locate her.

At the end of April, a hiker found her body in the state park.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office said that foul play was not suspected in her death.
