Letter: Blast of revenue worth the trouble

OK, enough already with the uncontrolled fireworks. I used to enjoy them, but not any more. The city and county have an addiction. They are addicted to the money that fireworks bring. Like most addicts, they do not see a problem.

What would happen if all the fireworks went away? Nice quiet holidays sounds nice, but how many of us would be at the city/county meetings complaining about the increase in taxes to make up for the lost addiction monies?

So I say, keep the fireworks going. I don’t want my taxes increased again. Every boom and bang means monies in the city/county coffers.
