Vancoouver-based marine transport company Tidewater has acquired the assets of West Coast Marine Cleaning, Inc., also based in Vancouver, Tidewater said Tuesday.

West Coast Marine Services will keep its headquarters in Vancouver and operate through a division of Tidewater Environmental Services, a subsidiary of Tidewater Holdings.

West Coast Marine, with 63 employees, has operated since 1990. Its services include industrial cleaning and hazardous and non-hazardous waste transportation throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho and parts of California. Robby Baker will continue as general manager, Tidewater said in a statement.

The acquisition allows Tidewater to provide comprehensive onshore and offshore cleaning and waste transportation services to the marine and industrial business markets, as well as an expanded inventory of emergency response personnel and equipment. Tidewater did not disclose the cost of the acquisition.
