Letter: Progress persistently blocked

The Columbian
Published: July 28, 2014, 12:00am

Reading the July 23 letter “Obama cultivates discord,” I find it ironic that Ron Ross writes that he is “sick and tired of this Democrat and Republican divide,” yet in the same breath stokes this division by parroting the same old phony Republican-created scandals and crises. Republicans are not interested in “doing what is right for this country” at all. The only thing they appear to be doing is blocking and frustrating all progress (and then blaming President Obama for it), as well as voting 54 times regarding the Affordable Care Act, trying to prevent the working poor from having access to health care.

This divide will persist as long as Ross’ fellow Republicans persist with this meanness and this nonsense.
