Rik Roberts July 23 letter “Put beliefs into action by fostering” challenges people who are pro-life to adopt children from parents who are unable to care for them. He writes: “Otherwise you are … spouting words with nothing behind your beliefs.” While it is easy to charge people whom you disagree with to do something, I ask him, with his beliefs, is he paying for women’s abortions and birth control? If he strongly supports preventing conception, he should be helping women abort their children. Rather than forcing pro-life people to have their tax money go for abortions, which go strongly against their moral code, pro-abortion people should put their money where their beliefs are, otherwise, there is “nothing behind your beliefs.”
