SEATTLE — Forecasters say dry weather with above-normal temperatures will continue into next week in the Northwest.

The National Weather Service says highs will be in the 80s west of the Cascades and in the 90s and low 100s east of the Cascades.

Because of the threat of thunderstorm lightning sparking wildfires, the Weather Service has issued a red flag warning Saturday for central and northeast Oregon from Bend and Madras through John Day and Enterprise and including the southeast corner of Washington.

Forecasters also have issued a heat advisory Thursday for the area including Clarkston and Asotin because of triple-digit temperatures.
