Gifts for our Community is looking for an upholstery assistant to help tear down pieces, clean and organize.

Human Services Council seeks a data entry and phone survey volunteer to help the Mobility Management AmeriCorps VISTA project gain information about transportation needs in the community.

Meals on Wheels People needs drivers to deliver meals on Tuesdays to homebound people. Substitute drivers for all routes are also needed.

Long Term Care Ombudsman volunteers help ensure the rights of elderly and disabled people living in care facilities. Certification training will begin soon.

Volunteer Center seeks people to direct visitors at the Clark County Courthouse and Public Service Center. Help is especially needed on Thursdays and Fridays.

WSU Clark County Extension seeks volunteers in its Master Gardeners, Master Food Preservers, 4-H and Watershed Steward programs.

o The Clark County STASHA (Strong Teens Against Substance Hazards and Abuse) Peer Education Program seeks youth, from 12 to 19 years old, to fill positions for the 2014-15 program year. STASHA peer educators work to raise awareness of alcohol and drug issues among youth through outreach and educational programs. The 20-member group includes those who have never used drugs or alcohol, those with past use, and those who have completed treatment and are in recovery. Meetings are on the first and third Monday evenings of each month. Training is provided.
