JUNEAU, Alaska — An earthquake shook some people awake Wednesday morning in southeast Alaska.

The U. S. Geological Survey reports a magnitude 5.7 quake occurred just before 4 a.m. and was centered about 94 miles west-northwest of Juneau. It was 45 miles west-southwest of Haines.

At KINY in Juneau, news director Lynn Campbell said there are no reports of damage or injury. He says it shook the building for about 20 seconds.

Campbell says the station received more than a dozen calls from listeners. Some said they were shaken awake. One said a humming bird feeder was sent swinging.
