A four-month art and humanities project culminates at First Thursday at the Clark County Historical Museum and First Friday Artwalk this week.

North Bank Artists Gallery and the Clark County Historical Museum developed “Art of Legacy,” a multi-disciplinary art and humanities project with Fae Moeller’s advanced art class from Thomas Jefferson Middle School in the spring. Students toured the museum and heard museum lectures and then worked with artists to create art projects based on historical themes explored during the museum experience.

A panel discussion about Art of Legacy with Jefferson teachers and students and museum staff is 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Clark County Historical Museum, 1511 Main St. For details, call the museum at 360-993-5679.

On Friday, guests can view student artwork at the museum, North Bank Artists Gallery and City Hall during First Friday Art Walk. Student artwork will be on display through August.
